| Blue skies and
daffodils are just a few signs that spring has arrived in Baltimore!
Spring is my favorite time of year and
Wyndholme is a great place to be when old man winter thaws away and
the bright flowers begin to bloom. The Village is bursting with
color once again!
I invite you to join us here at Wyndholme
Village, and you too will fall in love with this beautiful place.
With many wonderful activities going on, there's something for
everyone to enjoy. No matter what your pleasure may be!
Dingo, cards, bocce, driving golf balls, croquet, gardening, art
classes, guest speakers, and so much more! Be sure to look under
the event schedule to see what's happening and when. Don't miss
our Spring Potluck dinner on Friday, April 14th. Bring a dish to
share and have a great time socializing with your friends and meet new
ones, too!
As the sales manager here, I encounter the
smiling faces of seniors who visit, along with their questions about
life at Wyndholme. Yesterday I received an out-of-state phone
call from an interested couple. I was able to answer her basic
questions about the age requirement (55+), along with her other
concerns about making the move from a different area. We have
many visitors and inquiries from all over the country...so please
contact us anytime you have a question or just to chat on the TTY or
by voice.
I explained to my recent caller that
Wyndholme Village is set in a prime location, just minutes from the
Baltimore beltway and a few miles from Interstate 95 (the main
north/south route on the East coast). Convenience is something
that the future residents of Wyndholme Village will experience
everyday! This area offers wonderful, large shopping malls--with
stores such as Sears, Hecht's, J.C. Penney's, Nordstrom, Lord &
Taylor and more. Quaint antique and gift shops can be found in Old
Town Ellicott City (just a 10 min. drive), where you will find
one-of-a-kind items. The Gallery downtown is a favorite place
for many out-of-town guests to browse for clothing, shoes, hats, and
more!
Second, I covered another favorite topic
with seniors--the area food shopping and restaurants. There are
many large food stores, along with smaller gourmet specialty shops.
Baltimore offers a wide variety of restaurants--larger names such as,
The Cheesecake Factory, Phillips Seafood, Pizzeria Uno, Planet
Hollywood, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and many more! As a resident
of downtown, I'm always discovering a new place to eat.
I've enjoyed sharing a little bit about
Wyndholme Village with you today. Of course, there's so much
more to cover, so I hope that you will stop by our Information Center
for a visit. I'll be delighted to provide you with answers to
your questions. I also look forward to sharing this magical
place that so many will soon call home, with YOU!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Willigan
Manager of Sales
P.S. - I just returned from a short trip to Florida.
Having the Baltimore/Washington International airport just 15 minutes
away, traveling to Florida in just 2 hours makes life so much more
convenient!
