On Friday, May 5th the future residents of
Wyndholme Village went on a cruise of the
Potomac River in Washington, DC aboard the glass-covered sightseeing ship, Odyssey. The
two-hour lunch cruise featured a fabulous menu items such as:
Stuffed Seafood Strudel, Caribbean Island Salad, and Linguini di Mare,
and many other selections.
According to the
brochure, "the Odyssey was designed to travel beneath the
historic bridges spanning the Potomac River." This scenic
tour features spectacular views of the nation's greatest monuments.
The group boarded the
ship at 10:45 a.m. from the Gangplank Marina in southwest Washington,
D.C. and returned to port at
1:30 p.m.
It
was a lovely day for the future residents of Wyndholme
Village to get together. Admission to the cruise
ship Odyssey docked on the Potomac River.
Boarding was friendly, fast and efficient. |
The
Washington Monument was glorious against the skyline
along the Potomac River. How George Washington ever
threw a silver dollar across it is amazing! |
